about us: board

Nationally acclaimed for its work in developing artistic talent and careers in the arts for adults with disabilities, The Enrichment Center is one of just one of a few organization in the country that incorporates all of the arts-dance and performance, music, poetry and visual arts. We provide an avenue into the community or our artists, not as “artists with disabilities,” but as creative, talented individuals. Under the guidance or professional artists, our students earn money through the sale of visual art, published poetry, and fees for performance.

Inspiring Performances
Classroom activities and productions are carefully choreographed in way that overcome lack of speech, deafness, and impediments inherent with wheelchairs. Most of our public performance feature actors and dancers with and without disabilities.

Authentic Creations
In a professional studio setting, our visual artist create fresh, exciting, and original paintings, ceramics and multi-media pieces. Along with various exhibitions, their artwork is included in numerous corporate and private collections.

Finding A Voice
The Center's poetry program offers a different nuance to expression. Transcending the barriers of illiteracy, poetry is studied using both oral and written methods. Our poets will soon be releasing their second published book of poetry, “Warm Wishes.”

Original Music
Primarily focusing on percussion, the Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble is the first of its kind-a professional chamber group comprised of musicians with developmental disabilities and non-disabled resident musicians.
